Investment Executive Brokerage Report Card

Wellington West Capital Inc. ranked #3 in the 2008 Brokerage Report Card survey, conducted by the industry publication, Investment Executive. The firm ranked ahead of all bank-owned brokerages and has historically held the #1 spot for four of the past five years. The annual survey measures Canada’s top investment firms, using a number of criteria, including ethics, quality of research and public image.

50 Best Employers in Canada

Wellington West was named the second-best employer in Canada in the 2008 Hewitt Associates / Report on Business Magazine 50 Best Employers survey. This ranking is based on a survey of employees, corporate leaders and human resources professionals. This marks the third consecutive year that Wellington West has taken the first or second spot.

Canada’s 50 Best Managed Companies

Wellington West was named one of the 50 Best Managed Companies in Canada in 2006 and requalified in 2007. This award recognizes entrepreneurial Canadian companies that have implemented business practices of the highest order and have created shareholder value in innovative ways. The award is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post and Queen’s School of Business.

Wellington West Capital Markets Inc. took second place in its category and eighth overall in the 2006 Financial Post / Starmine Top Analyst Awards. The rankings are based on performance of investment recommendations and ideas generated by analysts, rather than a mere popularity contest.
